Ingredients
- 1 cup toor dal (pigeon peas)
- 2 tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 green chilli (slit)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ tsp The Masala Mandi Salem Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp The Masala Mandi Indore Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp The Masala Mandi Byadgi Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp ghee or oil
Instructions
- Boil the toor dal with turmeric powder and salt until soft and fully cooked.
- Heat ghee in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add curry leaves, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped tomatoes. Sauté until soft.
- Add coriander powder and Byadgi chilli powder. Mix well.
- Pour the prepared tadka over the cooked dal and mix gently.
- Serve hot.
