Ingredients

  • 1 cup toor dal (boiled)
  • 2 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 2 dried red chillies
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp The Masala Mandi Byadgi Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • Curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil the toor dal with turmeric powder and salt. Set aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add sliced garlic, curry leaves, and dried red chillies. Sauté until the garlic turns golden brown.
  4. Turn off the heat and add Byadgi Chilli Powder. Mix quickly.
  5. Pour the prepared tadka over the hot dal. Stir well and serve immediately.
